How quality is it?
Are you excite that display would be much clear to see your boyfriend/girlfriend, friend or family’s face and hand? Of course, we do.

However, my theory, it would be much as 720p streaming on the medium package from DSL/Fiber that everybody would afford to have that faster high-speed. I cannot recommend you to have low-end cable high-speed during the vary speed by time and time.

That would be 5 wired connect to ntouch VP’s rear panel:

• USB for web cam
• Ethernet for Internet access
• RJ11 (tele-jack) for visual tele-signal alert
• HDMI or Composite AV for television to display
• Power to outlet

Are you complaining about it? I do.

Why no wireless?
My assuming, it required the license fee to produce the own equipment. ZVRS do NOT own the product, brought from CISCO’s and Creative’s. Purple and other VRS provide only application to place on iOS and Android device, which it includes, wi-fi. Thank to bigger corp. that can afford.

That’s way we get FREE videophone equipment. Make everybody happy.

It can be also other reason that wireless isn’t always great at keep up with firmware when it need update and can be failure through wireless but rather solid wired.

You still can find a way to set as wireless with adapter that is similar as one I post.

Let’s see what’s rear panel of equipment what it would support to the port/plug.

It has 2 USBs, Ethernet, HDMI, RJ11 (tele-jack), Composite AV and power plug. I’m relief to know that it would support to our telephone visual signaler equipment.

I have good assuming about HDMI, it may or will be either 720p or 1080p while the streaming will be just 480p. During my sense with technology, it would be accept on affordable high-speed that would support, at least, a good quality of video.

However, my friend, who is computer whiz, explain that to have 720p streaming, it need, at least 768 kpbs. That sound nice, as if ntouch VP might would support. Then our eyes will totally blew up with plenty of drool.

For quite time, I start to concern on how people are start to call me. There is a major problem with Sorenson compatible with different video relay service. It’s about the how the caller ID appears toward Sorenson VP200.

You see, when I test it by call from my Z4 to my VP200. You can see how wrong when it appear on the display from the history call listing. What’s wrong? It doesn’t appear as the local number. It’s only ip-address. When anyone, like me on VP200, tried make the redial from either history call listing or contact listing after add my “caller id”. It will dial as Ip-address instead the actual local number. It ends up bringing you to where you would only leave the video-message. It will NOT ringing to my Z4 from iPod or laptop.

What has hassle me is, that I have to remind everybody to make sure they add my Caller ID and then edit to change from Ip-address to my local number. It’s more work for them to do than simple add from the history call listing.

I find it un-compatible between videophone Service Company to videophone Service Company. They’re not well equal when someone miss the call and redial as number instead being different direct. I could blame to Sorenson.

So, I leave the feedback to ZVRS to be aware about my issues. I hope to see every videophone service to be equal on quality on video and satisfactory to call like every telephone Landlines/wireless Company does.

UPDATE: It also affect on Purple P3, too. I gave the feedback to Purple Staff, too.

Reason why it won’t happen. Because of simple follow up:

• Not everybody own HDTV
• High-end high-speed is too expensive for now
• Sorenson might not have fund enough to create new one. Thank to FCC’s cut
• It have no flash signaler or telephone jack port, it’s pointless

Stop believe in VP-300 while the current is fine for EVERYBODY.

Man… I’m not able to make out on what she saying to me. With one-hand sign language give me a more time to understand than usually 2-hand. How about you?

Think about it, I required having two hands to sign such as “school”, “clapping” or something like that. My brain function is pretty slow to catch on one-hand. I ask several people who think of iPhone. Can you deal with it? Probably 30-70 can deal with it. I’m not… not even I appreciate it.

I admit I thought of something funny going on. Even I tried use my videophone number on one of insurance company which I couldn’t recall that name. I was applying to find out the quote. The error appears that they couldn’t recognition on area code. So, I had to use my mobile phone number, if even they tried call me. I’m helpless.

However, it led me to think about what’s up with my videophone number. So, I decide to look up on WhitePages.com to check out if that number able to reverse the information on where I live.

Yep, it shows as landline and estimate on where I live. Therefore, it should prove that my number isn’t bull.

However until someone mentions that there is new policy from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Wi-Fi issues over the communications thing. Here is the last paragraph of “WiFi in the Sky” from the fact sheet:

While passengers are welcome to access the web, U.S. airlines offering WiFi service block the use of inflight calling using Skype or similar applications. This is not an FAA restriction; they are simply responding to the overwhelming majority of their customers, who prefer silent communications to the public nature of Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) calls.

That would include our videophone if steward saw us use American Sign Language (ASL) to make awesome communicate. They would probably panic and tell us to turn it off and use Instant Messenger instead.

Man, it would probably hurt the deaf community if there is more commercial airlines start to blocks every video conversation. I guess what someone saying on other weblog. That he or she thinks it’s like terrorist thing. That’s no fun.

4. The source given by Biz.Yahoo have no actual reference or original on whom report. (okay, maybe I don’t know that part)
5. The only true I know about Purple, they’re not bankrupt. Not yet, because there is no confirm at moment.

Don’t be jumpy until we have the actual fact information about Purple. Don’t be sorry for them, just do whatever you like their service or not. I only like them because I was able to use on my MacBook to use VRS with iChat.

Yet, there is Sprint Relay does offer software compatible for Mac and PC. I start to notice both are similar engineer software on how to use. I haven’t download when ZVRS was first introduce. This time, I was able to download from Sprint Relay’s site. And I found the source on where it comes from. It’s Mirial Softphone“>Mirial Softphone.

Look like Mirial have development, well, smart application that can be use both Mac and PC to make the video conferencing. It makes sense because it can be compatible with 4G wireless. What’s smart thing about Sprint, they would able to sell 4G modem to use for either PC or Mac laptop. It’s match in heaven to use anywhere.
