RANT: Videophone display on HDTV in wrong way

Some deaf set videophone with HDTV, my thought, it’s pointless. Both Sorenson VP series and other videophone equipment are support only use in composite video (yellow cable) that go at 480i while HDTV display the resolution pixel: 480p, 720p or 1080p. Do we need portable TV with closed captioning?

I had quick thought about portable television. Since FCC required at least 13” with closed captioning (CC), so the question is. DVD’s subtitle in HDTV got a problem….

I watch the DVD movie called The Stings with widescreen. It would fit awesome HDTV in 16:9. I find disappointment that DVD movie doesn’t support Closed caption.
