1. Monthly is narrow expensive for me. I’m happy with Sprint Relay plan with my (ick) Centro) which is only $30 per month. Acknowledge that there is TAP plan for deaf but it’s still bit expensive than the normally which is $50 on 3G and $40 on original (EDGE).
2. There is no copy and paste feature. Imagine that its advance operator system for mobile and yet, it has no copy/paste!
3. Typing would slow me down. Of course, it would take time me to learn. Unfortunately, I couldn’t typing with one hand.
4. I fear that iPhone is like a glasses. Accessories are annoying. I prefer mobile phone in naked and be proud.
5. There is no tethering allow, at&t demand us to pay extra. Whatever I’m on road, I need an Internet on computer unlike seen on mobile phone. Yeah, I know there is Netshare but it keep removed from iTunes store.
6. 3G coverage isn’t great enough compare to EVDO. its better to await until it grow more. The more I will be satisfactory.
7. There is no video recorder mode. Have to buy an application to running iPhone as camcorder.
8. Lack battery, I may eat up battery when use pushy IMAP e-mail system. I’m medium user on surf web, e-mail and text-message.
Boy, I’m wrong. HOVRS MVP does come with browser, powered by Opera. It’s really nice and lightweight than VPAD. I have to saying it’s impressive as wireless portable videophone.
Wireless portable videophone has the huge negative I bring it up for everybody to understand the technology. First, I thought it’s great that anyone could bring videophone portable at coffee cafe, hotel or airport terminal where they have Wi-Fi spot. Unfortunately, there is problem you cannot get it work. Why?
Because almost every Wi-Fi spot are tense REQUIRED to use browser to login to activate the network. I have my experience on travel with my laptop with built-in 801.11. I have seen many place with free or not free Wi-Fi access. So, some advertise from VRS’ that you seen, are somewhere misled.
I notice that most common videophone (VP) equipment being local next to router and modem. Few are willing to place VP for private conference such as in bedroom with wire (Cat5) around on floor. It makes thing look pretty ugly (messy). I asked, years ago, with several Sorenson staffs about if it’s possible to turn the videophone until wireless. VPAD which I make small preview on few months ago, have been sold only at DeafNation for best price to own one. Viable sell $99 plus tax. I must say I praise that someone have sell videophone equipment for anyone. I have been told about buy own video and it looks well successful that everybody are crazy over it.
