Supermarket: Customers can be bad
“Customer is alway right” is most ridiculous I ever hear when nobody seen that he or she try to break the “rule” at the supermarket. I used to work at Albertson for almost 5 years in three different position jobs: sacker, stocker and cashier. Anyway, I look up at my favorite food blog: slashfood.com that talk the con thing about Supermarket.
Customers not putting their carriage in the corral.
Yup, that’s why we have sacker like me who look for carriage and put it back to the building. But I hate when someone steals carriage such as hobo or customers who don’t have car and use carrier to their closer home and dump it somewhere.
Customers who leave their carriage in an aisle.
As stocker, I have seen someone doing like that. Customer make dumb reason when they don’t have money or got in fight, decide to leave carriage somewhere in aisle and let frozen food melt and become useless. I want to push carriage to fall on the floor to make look accident. Oops.
Customers who don’t have the courtesy to put a divider after their items, so you can put yours on the belt.
As cashier, I hate it that when customer didn’t put belt down there and I ring the ton items which I don’t event know it belong to other customer. Then they yell at me, “oh my gosh! Those items aren’t mine! Arrghh!!!” I don’t feel like want to put belt for them because I am sure which item belong because of too many. At least the cashier desk has improved as I only can worry about take from carriage instead on slide table.
Customers who don’t put things back where they found them.
For example, a customer doesn’t want ice cream and didn’t put back in freeze and it end melt and no-good item. Worst is… someone put food at drug department shelf and other chemcial affect terrible scent. Oh dear…
Customers who start eating/drink the food they bought before they’ve paid for it.
They are hungry and thief! I caught some customers who didn’t paid for it after ate something. Tsk tsk!

Oh brother..
wow… never sat and thought much about how people’s behavior at a supermarket can affect other people. Crabby people suck, and NO, the customer is NOT always right.
